Onward to my final judgement as Hades waits in darkness,
I cannot run from my demons, they know where I’ll hide,
I cannot curse them, they see my scars,
I cannot hide from them, they know who I am beneath my mask,
I’ll never be free of them, tormenting me is their eternal task.
A mass of broken souls bars my way, it’s time to fight,
Their eyes are empty, showing no signs of life,
It’s the work of Lethe, they are at peace but lost for all eternity,
The sight ways heavily on me as I push through them desperately,
I will never forget the looks on their faces as they stare into the abyss endlessly.
Standing at The Entrance of The Underworld,
The Diamond Gate, a monolithic behemoth,
Where Cerberus waits with snapping jaws and drooling tongues,
Like a predator stalking its prey, his eyes are locked on me,
Getting past him is easy, all souls may enter but none may ever leave.
The Judgement Pavilion towers over me,
I feel so insignificant in this harsh unforgiving place,
Its enormity drowns me as I climb the steps to the giant door,
I knock, it swings open, with a shriek, it’s deafening,
Trepidation threatens to crush me as I wait to be invited in.

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
